The rating board on this site lists online casino operators that accept South African players and rand deposits. This page explains what an operator needs to be listed and how the order is set.

What an operator needs to be listed

• It accepts players from South Africa and lets them deposit in rand.
• It publishes a welcome offer for South African players, and the headline figure of that offer is recorded in rand.
• There is a commercial agreement between the site and the operator, so every link on the board is one the site can stand behind.
• The operator has not withdrawn from the South African market.

Operators that fail any of these points are not shown, however well known they are.

How the order is set

The top of the board is built around the offer a player sees first: the largest published welcome package, an alternative from a different operator group, and an operator with a longer record or a provincial licence in South Africa. Further down come operators that other South African guides also list, followed by long-established names. Commercial agreements are part of this decision, and the site says so openly.

Boards on topic pages are filtered by a fact that can be checked: a payment method in the cashier, a game type or studio in the lobby, a founding year or a South African licence. If fewer than four operators match, a general board is shown with a neutral heading.

What the board does not claim

Welcome offers are the figures operators publish, and they change. Wagering, expiry, maximum bet and cash-out limits sit in each operator's terms, which a player should read before depositing. Under the National Gambling Act 2004, online casino gambling is not licensed in South Africa; a provincial licence mentioned on the board covers sports betting, not online casino games.
